Add Siegfried Gin, the spiced red wine syrup and lime juice to a shaker and shake with ice. Double strain into a wine glass and top with ice cubes. To finish, top with pink grapefruit lemonade and stir gently. Decorate with mint leaves and fresh pink grapefruit.

Strong dry red wine (500ml)
Szechuan pepper (a pinch)
Organic ground orange peel (9g)
Juice of one orange
Organic vanilla extract (2.5 tsp.)
Cardamom capsules (3 pcs.)
Tonka bean – grated (1 pc.)
Cane sugar (300g)
Star anise (3 pcs.)
Nutmeg (a pinch)
In a heated pot, add star anise and cardamom until it starts to crackle and smell sweet. Deglaze with the red wine once the red wine boils add all the other ingredients. Simmer for 20 minutes at a low temperature. Let the Syrup infuse for at least 12 hours in a cool place. Afterwards filter through a sieve and pour into a clean bottle. The syrup lasts up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
